Welcome to our belated 24th episode of the main podcast. In this episode we take a look at Jack Reacher: Never Go Back and the classic film is The Usual Suspects.
The second installment of the Jack Reacher franchise has arrived in the form of Jack Reacher: Never Go Back. The film follows Reacher as he attempts to clear the name of an army major accused of treason and, subsequently, his own name when the baddies attempt to stitch him up on a murder charge). The film was directed by Edward Zwick, the screenplay was by Richard Wenk and is based on the novel by Lee Child. The film stars Tom Cruise, Cobie Smulders, Danika Yarosh, Aldis Hodge, Patrick Heusinger and Holt McCallany amongst others.
In The Usual Suspects, the sole survivor of a gun battle and explosion on a ship tells an investigator of the events that led to that point in time. The film was directed by Bryan Singer and written by Christopher McQuarrie. The film starred Kevin Spacey, Gabriel Byrne, Stephen Baldwin, Benicio Del Toro, Kevin Pollak, Chazz Palminterri and Pete Postlethwaite amongst others.

Hell or High Water tells the story of a divorced man, who is trying to stop the foreclosure on his ranch and make a better life for his son, and his ex-convict brother as they run a series of bank heists to raise some cash. The film was directed by David Mackenzie and written by Taylor Sheridan. The film stars Chris Pine, Ben Foster and Jeff Bridges.
Green Room tells the story of a down on their luck punk band who play a gig at a venue that is frequented by gentlemen on the far-right of society. They make the mistake of entering their dressing room where a murder has taken place which unleashes a chain of events that results in a fair few deaths. The film was written and directed by Jeremy Saulnier and starred Anton Yelchin, Patrick Stewart, Joe Cole, Alia Shawkat, Callum Turner, Taylor Tunes, Imogen Poots, et al.
Chariots of Fire follows two athletes as they prepare for, and race, in the 1924 Paris Olympics. The film is directed by Hugh Hudson and written by the wonderful Colin Welland. The film stars Ian Charleson, Nigel Havers, Nicholas Farrell, Ben Cross, Ian holm, etc.
