Hello and welcome to this special edition of the podcast from the London Film Festival, where Robert has managed to obtain press accreditation. This episode covers two 'red carpet' events that he attended as well as a couple of press and industry showings.
Who Killed Nelson Nutmeg? (Timestamp: 01m09s)
This was the first red carpet event Robert attended and was for a new children's film that is reminiscent of the old Children's Film Foundation films of yesteryear. This section includes interviews from a loud cinema foyer so the sound levels are variable.
Bone Tomahawk (Timestamp: 13m29s)
This was the second red carpet event Robert attended and was for a new western-horror film. The film is directed by S Craig Zahler on his directorial debut and stars Kurt Russell. This section includes interviews from outside the Leicester Square Odeon cinema.
Valley of Love (Timestamp: 19m28s)
This is a French feature film starring Gérard Depardieu and Isabelle Huppert following a divorced couple who meet up after many years following the death of their son by suicide six months earlier.
Sherpa (Timestamp: 21m12s)
This is a documentary film about the 2014 Everest climbing season and the tragedy that beset it. Originally set to follow one particular Sherpa as he attempted his 22nd ascent to the summit and also the tensions that are building betwen the Sherpas and the westerners, the documentary ends up detailing the aftermath of a massive ice fall that killed sixteen Sherpas and left many others injured and/or traumatised.
